
Sometimes, more is more. ANIML Steakhouse takes the maximalist approach with a jungle-glam interior to match a menu its chef describes as “audacious luxury.” Seeking to create a space that evokes the unapologetic decadence of 1970s nightlife, Nivek Remas contrasted sumptuous animal-print velvet banquettes and cheeky gold-tasselled light fixtures with the polish of lacquered wood panelling, gold leaf and mirrors. While there’s no illuminated dance floor, a disco ball in the form of an upside-down, mirror-encased bull hangs whimsically over the dining room, sparkling among a grid of soft recessed lights.
