As myriad uninspired ceilings attest, it can be a challenge to find overhead finishes that are aesthetically on par with the options for floors and walls, particularly when noise reduction is a priority. Turf’s new system of compression-moulded Arcade tiles made from 60 per cent recycled PET, however, offers an opportunity to create dynamic designs that will complement a wide range of spaces. Riffing on the barrel-vaulted ceilings of Gothic architecture, Arcade’s five tile types can be mixed and matched to create peaks, waves, gentle curves and diagonal grids while providing an impressive noise-reduction coefficient of 0.95. With six neutral colours to choose from, there are countless possible tile permutations, none of them boring.
