Named after one of Vienna’s most storied palaces, Belvedere carries that cultural inheritance with effortless grace. Designed by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba for Kartell, the chair marries the time-honoured craft of Viennese rattan wickerwork with a slim, lightweight frame of recycled thermoplastic technopolymer. Two materials in apparent contrast unite in seamless symmetry, where handcraft meets technology and tradition meets innovation. At just 3.3 kilograms, it moves as easily between indoors and out as it does between past and present. Made in Milan, with one eye on history and one firmly on the present, it’s the perfect perch to take in the view.
