Curved House does exactly what you’d think: It bends at 45 degrees to mimic the natural curve of Lago Ranco’s shoreline in south-central Chile. Using a modular steel exoskeleton, Santiago-based firm Hevia Poblete presented unbroken panoramic views by repeating the same glass-fitted section the entire length of the home, changing the interior fixtures down the middle as required. The short end and curved section house the social areas, and the long arm is fitted with five bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms for the inhabitants and their guests, each featuring interior partitions that carve out privacy within the otherwise continuous form.
