This honest and unfussy chair was originally created by Neri&Hu for Papi, a Paris restaurant that the firm also designed. Like the eatery, which is located in a compact space on the ground floor of a late-19th-century building, the Petit chair is an exercise in making a big impact on a small scale. Composed of three or four legs beneath a simple round upholstered cushion and finely crafted from American black walnut, American white oak or European ash in a range of finishes, it delivers functionality and warmth in a big way.
