Its flat, straplike rubber cables, available in light pink and forest green, support tubular LED lamps in borosilicate glass, creating a contrast between industrial and sophisticated materials. And more is better: Wireline can be installed as a single hanging piece or repeated — even intertwined — to create elaborate visual compositions. Completed by two ceiling roses, one of which is placed in correspondence with the light point and contains the power supply and the dimmer, the lamp comes in various customizable hanging lengths up to 405 centimetres. It’s a wonderfully unusual fixture by Formafantasma, one of Italy’s most experimental and beloved design duos — and it captures the designers’ ethos and aesthetic values, where functionality meets the unexpected.
