Born in the age of biplanes, reborn in the age of space tourism. A vibrant graphic scheme helps to transform this former aircraft factory into a hands-on school for the next generation of aerospace professionals. At the entrance, a 16-metre mural of a 1930s airplane establishes the vibe, while, throughout the interior, dynamic yellow and black signage inspired by runway markers and bespoke pictograms that riff on airport signage assist with wayfinding. Students even gather around a nine-metre “wind rose” graphic — a common aviation symbol — set into the floor in the student lounge.
